Docue in short
Docue Technologies is a legal tech company founded in 2015, headquartered in Helsinki. In October 2021 we expanded to Sweden, and our plan is to open other new markets soon.
Our vision is to become an international standard in SME’s legal documentation and raise the bar in the whole legal industry. On the docue.com service, companies and entrepreneurs can draw up high-quality contracts and other legal documents, either on their own or guided by our lawyers. In our world, neither lawyers’ or customers’ time is wasted on burdensome, manual work that can be automated. More than 30,000 companies have already used Docue. We are growing fast, at an annual rate of more than 70 %, and we expect to reach MSEK 15 in annual recurring revenue by the end of 2021.
At the heart of Docue is a unique platform on which you can draft legal documents easier than ever. Designed by lawyers, the platform provides ready-made legal content for any business document, be it board meeting minutes, a shareholder agreement, or an employment contract. Not only does the platform provide legal clauses, but it also guides the user through the drafting with extensive guidelines. And if there’s anything that the user needs help on, they can effortlessly ask our lawyers on the service. Docue is particularly useful for SMEs, as these companies don’t usually have in-house legal expertise. On the other hand, SMEs are a market that is almost completely unaddressed by the traditional legal industry. We are here to change the game.
You can either be a recent graduate, soon-to-be graduate, or a more experienced lawyer. Your law degree is from a Swedish university. Your Swedish is fluent and English excellent. Ideally, you already have some work experience in business law, but a good academic record and – above all – a can-do attitude can compensate for the lack of experience.
Work experience, advanced studies or interest in these subject areas are considered an advantage:
● Company law
● Employment law
● General commercial law
● Finance & transactions
● Intellectual property rights
● Privacy and data protection
● Real estate law
As a person, you are analytical, self-determined and energetic. You have a modern and pragmatic way of thinking about law: law is a tool made for ordinary people and entrepreneurs, not for other lawyers.
Your role at Docue
You will specialize in the 1–3 areas mentioned in the previous section and grow into a leading expert in those areas. Your workdays are diverse: you design new legal content on the service but also marketing material (newsletters, guides, videos, etc.) to promote the content. In addition, you remotely assist our customers in their daily legal questions. The Swedish version of Docue is fully targeted to Swedish clients, so you are expected to specifically master the Swedish law. In the longer term, as we open new markets, you most probably get international opportunities as well.
You’ll be working with our newly hired Swedish Head of Legal. Besides the legal team, we are in the process of hiring a sales team in Stockholm. These two teams co-operate seamlessly to develop a top-notch product.
What we can offer
- Competitive salary
- Equity-based option plan
- Flexible working hours and the possibility to work remotely
- Opportunity to dive into a fast-growing legal tech company with international aspirations
