About the role
In the role as Corporate Legal Counsel, you will be supporting the Trelleborg Group on delivering on its M&A agenda and be a key player in helping to secure our growth. You will act as the project leader for the legal stream and work, from inception to completion, on corporate/M&A transactions that Trelleborg Group conducts globally. This entails that you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating all transaction documents, collaborating with external legal advisors and coordinating and overseeing the due diligence process, etc. You will work closely with
the Trelleborg Group´s central M&A team, the Business Areas´ M&A Managers and other group functions of relevance.
While working with M&A is your main role, you will also support and advise the Group on other legal matters and issues relating to our business activities. This could include reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, supporting with legal advice in different internal projects and disputes, and conducting legal trainings to the business..
You will report to the Senior Vice President General Counsel & Secretary and be part of Group Legal with colleagues across the globe. Our office is located at Trelleborg HQ in the city center of Trelleborg within walking distance from the train station.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a qualified lawyer with a Master of Laws (LL.M) and at least 3-5 years of substantive M&A experience. You have independently managed the legal parts of M&A transactions, from inception to completion. It is preferred that you have worked in-house in a similar role and are used to manage M&A transactions across different jurisdictions. You have excellent language skills in English, and it is meritorious if you also speak Swedish or another Nordic language.
To be successful in this role you must thrive in a fast-moving and dynamic organization. You have a strong commercial awareness with a "can do it approach" and are a very strong negotiator with a constructive and solution-oriented approach. Your verbal and written skills are excellent, and you have a great ability to communicate and influence business personnel at all levels and provide advice in a concise way for non-lawyer clients. Furthermore, you are an un-pretentious positive team-player that appreciate building long-term relationships with colleagues as well as customers, suppliers, and other external parties.
