Divisional Legal Counsel – GKN Aerospace Engine Systems
The Legal Department at GKN Aerospace is multinational and comprises lawyers whose primary role is to support GKN Aerospace’s corporate and strategic activities. This role is based at the Aerospace Engine Systems HQ in Trollhättan, Sweden and reports to the Divisional Senior Counsel – GKN Engine Systems who is also based in Trollhättan, Sweden.
This role is to support the Engine Systems business in Scandinavia (Sweden and Norway) with respect to its legal matters, and, in collaboration with the GKN Aerospace Americas Legal Team, to take a supporting role with respect to the US Engine Systems businesses.
The person we are looking for is a qualified Swedish lawyer with excellent written and spoken English or an equivalent foreign degree in law from an internationally qualified lawyer willing to operate in a multi cultural environment. To succeed at this position we believe that you have at least three to five year of business law experience at a law firm or in-house legal department. You should have good negotiating skills and a proven ability to communicate at all levels across a multi-national organisation. In this role you will handle matters of significance and interact with the most senior levels of leadership within the GKN Aerospace Division.

The role involves:
Strategic Advice, supporting corporate and other strategic initiatives affecting the GKN Aerospace Division and GKN Aerospace Engine Systems
Contracts Review and Approval, as a part of a multifunctional team ensure support for example Supply Contracts, Procurement Contracts, Development and Collaboration Agreements, Agents and Consulting Contracts.
Disputes, advising GKN Aerospace Engine Systems with respect to its claims and disputes.
Corporate Strategic Projects, supporting any prospective strategic projects within the Aerospace Engine Systems division.
Export Control – supporting the export control team with maintaining compliance across our business.
Legal Compliance,supporting compliance initiatives or issues; including training and implementation of compliance programmes
This is a permanent position on full time, based in Trollhättan, Sweden and you will report to the Divisional Senior Counsel who is also based in Trollhättan, Sweden.
