We are now looking for a Legal Counsel with focus on Data Privacy to our legal team in Stockholm who can contribute in taking us to the next level.
About the role:
Trustly’s legal team consists today of 6 legal counsels. The team supports the entire organization by finding innovative solutions and providing high-quality user-friendly advice. The team is closely integrated with the company’s business activities, involved at the front-end of decision-making and forms an important role in Trustly’s journey of becoming the leading global bank-to-bank payment method.
In the role as a Legal Counsel with focus on data privacy, you will work closely with Trustly’s privacy team and assist the entire organization in various internal and external data privacy and information security legal matters. In particular, you will be involved in establishing the company’s global data privacy programs and support Trustly’s technology and products teams on implementation, maintenance and compliance with such programs.
In addition, you will assist in the daily work of the legal team, which covers various legal areas, such as;
- contract law,
- marketing law,
- intellectual property law,
- consumer rights law,
- employment law, and
- financial and regulatory law
Who you are:
To be successful in this role we see you as an individual with a high degree of integrity and ability to adapt quickly to changes. While you will work closely with senior legal colleagues, you will be expected to handle matters independently, often managing and coordinating your work with external legal counsels.
We believe that the right candidate for this position:
- Holds a law degree (Sw. jur kand.) and have between 1-3 years’ work experience from a top rated law firm and as an in-house legal counsel or secondee;
- Have experience from working with privacy and information security question;
- Is known to be a “doer,” have a hard-working and proactive attitude and ambition to add value in everything you do; and
- Have a positive and humble approach.
